SDN Macquarie Park is currently looking for Certificate III and Diploma qualified Casual Educators to join our casual pool.

Location

SDN Macquarie Park is a purpose-built 90-place long day care centre and preschool, providing high quality care and learning in a safe and welcoming space that supports the inclusion of every child. Centrally located on a quiet street in Macquarie Park, this newly renovated centre has been refurbished with design principles and concepts of inclusion and neurodiversity in mind. The outdoor space at this custom-built centre provides safe and stimulating environments for children to explore and learn and includes a bike track, sand pit and water play area. The open plan playground also includes a sensory area set into a landscaped garden which encouraging learning through exploration, curiosity, problem solving and creativity.

There is a dedicated Autism Specific Program, specially designed for more intensive and targeted support for autistic children. This program is for children 4-5 years old with a diagnosis of autism and to support their transition to school.

Who you are

  • Certificate III or Diploma qualified in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Current Working with Children's Check (NSW)
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Standards and Early Years Learning Framework
  • Previous experience in an early childhood education setting
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a positive attitude

What you'll do

  • As a qualified educator, you will work as part of a team to provide high quality early childhood education and care to children and to support the implementation of an approved learning framework.
  • You will develop and maintain nurturing relationships and communicate positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis, as well as promote and guide positive behaviour.
