Primary responsibilities include: - Ensuring sufficient placement opportunities with non-government agencies, and government agencies (Federal, State and Local) - Supervise and assess Practicum Placements / Field Education as directed by the Head of School and as per the assessment guidelines; - Provide appropriate administrative support to the Head of School and other academic staff within the School to achieve efficient and effective operation of the School; - Promotion and professional representation of the School and its activities. **Selection Criteria** Qualifications and Professional Standing: - Hold a Postgraduate/Masters and/or PhD qualification in relevant Social Work discipline - Experience in field education either as a Field Educator (Supervisor) and/or Field Education Liaison Officer. - Experience teaching in a tertiary setting. - Minimum of 5 years' experience as a qualified Social Worker (10+ years desirable). - Member or eligible to be a member of the AASW Essential: - Committed Christian, involved in a local congregation. - A proven record of professional activities and ideally a record of research and academic publications. - An understanding of current and emerging trends in education as a whole and discipline Social Work in particular. - Demonstrated experience in building social work networks. - Demonstrated high level of skills in written and oral communication and information literacy and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. - Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diversity and ability to work with students, staff, and administrators, including pastoral skills in mentoring staff and supporting students. - This full-time position is based in Macquarie Park._ **How to Apply** - Excelsia College is a smoke free campus._ **Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Employee discount - Salary packaging - Work from home Ability to commute/relocate: - MACQUARIE PARK, NSW 2113: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required) Application Question(s): - Are you eligible for membership with AASW?
