**ABOUT US**
Makmur Enterprises PTY LTD is one of the leading manufacturers of a wide range of frozen Asian Appetizers. We are now seeking a QA Assistant to join our manufacturing plant located at Richmond, Victoria.
**THE ROLE**
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Coordinator, this role will focus on Quality and Safety of our products and ensuring compliance to all quality standards.
**THE KEY ELEMENTS OF THIS ROLE INVOLVES**:
- Ensure all products manufactured meet product specifications and food safety requirements.
- Conduct ongoing reviews of processes and procedures, maintaining and improving all aspects of the Quality manual.
- Routine sampling for various tests, retention and product evaluation.
- To administer & improve the quality system/ food safety; checking all aspects of quality in production from incoming of raw materials to release of finished products.
- To be a team member in research development of functional foods in relation to ingredient choices, food preserving & shelf life.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- To ensure the integrity of products produced is maintained at all times such as investigating and reporting on product compliance to company guidelines, specifications and customer requirements incorporating food safety and quality parameters.
- Able to raise and follow up on Corrective Action Requests, both internally and externally.
- Some of the guidelines to be followed are HACCP, SQF and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
**THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE**:
- Tertiary qualifications in food science & technology or experience and training in the food industry
- HACCP / QA Qualifications
- Ability to maintain and improve a Quality Management System(HACCP, ISO, SQF)
- Experience conducting internal audits
- Ability to be analytical when assessing products against specific requirements
- High level of communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to use Microsoft Office
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work in a team environment to resolve problems or improve systems
- Ability to demonstrate initiative
**Salary**: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
