Data Analyst

_In this role you partner with clients to transform complex data into readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth. Aside from putting your technical expertise to use, you’ll also deliver quality engagements through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement activities. Evaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasets. Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization. Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data._

**Responsibilities**

- Identify, interpret and analyse data using linking and statistical techniques to answer business problems including the identification of trends and/or patterns in complex data sets, and to create inference or insights
- Produce reports, visualisations and recommendations to answer business problems and present them in the most appropriate format to ensure clarity for target audience
- Partner with project team members and stakeholders to drill down into various data elements, challenging the data and critically analyze and validate how well the business is tracking to their desired targets
- Assess and recommend best practices utilising, improving efficiency and enabling our clients
- Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources
- Define and implement data acquisition and integration logic, selecting an appropriate combination of methods and tools within the defined technology stack to ensure optimal scalability and performance of the solution
- Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources, and build scripts that will make our data evaluation process more flexible or scalable across datasets
- Present simple dashboards/power point packs for managers to leverage data insights and fine tune the business strategy
- Proactively identifying and highlighting trends within the customer base that can be used to optimise customer experience, customer value and marketing effectiveness
- Supporting, advising and influencing stakeholders to help them make the right decisions for their business

- Ensure best practices are followed as per industry standards, client guidelines and expectations

**Requirements**:
**Education**
- Bachelors Degree in Statistics, Accounting, Computer Science or Technology related field

**Experience**
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience working in Data Analytics performing complex programs and advanced analytical discovery (hypothesis and test case)
- Positive experience as an influential and valued resource for stakeholders, providing to them meaningful insights and improvements to their business and data analytics processes
- Demonstrated use of data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI and experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
- Practical experience in statistical analysis (SAS or R) through the use of statistical packages, including Excel, SPSS, and SAS
- Experience building and automating management level reporting
- Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

**Skills**
- Proficient in statistical analysis and the ability to think broadly on how data is evolving from change in business strategy
- Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen
- Technically good in ability to use models to analyse large volumes of data
- Strong Technical writing skills in SQL queries, Excel reports, and presentations
- Strong programming skills with frameworks, including MS SQL, XML, JavaScript, and ETL
- Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy
- Aptitude for learning other analytics tools
- Ability to create a “One Team” approach to client and LJM ecosystem
- Pro-active and solutions oriented
- Strong stakeholder management, consistent in behaviour both internally and externally

**Additional Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in analytic and statistical techniques related multivariate and A/B testing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
