Cement Renderer/ Solid Plasterer

**Salary range**:$70,000 - $90,000 per annum plus superannuation

**Role**:Full-time

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Prepare interior and exterior walls and ceilings for plaster and cement by cleaning, taping and fixing any holes or cracks
- Mix plaster to desired consistency and to erect scaffolds
- Review and interpret plans, blueprints, architect's drawings and specifications to determine materials required
- Level and smoothen corners, walls, ceilings to uniform thickness
- Design the desired texture, create and fix ornamental and decorative plaster and recreate original designs when necessary
- Determine plasterboard layouts, modify plasterboard, position panels and secure them to walls, ceilings and battens
- Cover joins and nail holes, patch as and when required and
- Insulate, fireproof and install vapour barriers
- Inspect work and materials for compliance with specifications, regulations and standards
- Maintain a safe working environment and leave the site clean at the completion of work

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Have qualification in Cert III or IV in Solid Plastering. In absence of formal qualification, relevant work experience of minimum 3 years will be required.

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and architect drawings
- Must be able to work with clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- You will be expected to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to work on heights
- Competent in using equipment and hand tools
- Must have White card

**Australian citizens and permanent residents are preferred.**

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
