About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Renderer to join our team in Mortdale, NSW. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and applying render and finishing materials to a variety of surfaces to achieve durable, high-quality finishes in accordance with project specifications and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Apply coats of plaster or render to walls and other surfaces to produce smooth or textured finishes using trowels and related tools
• Mix rendering materials such as sand, cement, and lime with water to achieve the required consistency and strength
• Apply sealing compounds to waterproof and protect rendered surfaces
• Read and interpret plans and specifications to determine materials, quantities, and surface requirements
• Create decorative textures and finishes using various tools and techniques
• Patch and repair damaged or aged rendered surfaces
• Install and use protective coverings to safeguard surrounding areas during work
• Work safely at heights and on scaffolding where required
• Comply with all site safety, WHS regulations, and company policies
Skills and Qualifications
• Relevant trade qualification in Solid Plastering, or at least three years of relevant work experience
• Proven experience in cement rendering, acrylic rendering, and texture coating
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and project specifications
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Physically fit and able to work in outdoor construction environments
• Strong understanding of WHS standards and safe work practices
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
