SBS is a truly distinctive network, showcasing multicultural, multilingual and First Nations stories otherwise untold in the Australian media. **The Role** - As part of our Corporate Services team efficiently manage the daily operations of the SBS mailroom by sorting incoming mail, distribution, and preparing outgoing mail for dispatch. - Attend to office / facilities requests, manage staff helpdesk tickets, help other team members with ad-hoc maintenance tasks, conduct building safety / housekeeping inspections, and assist with various administrative tasks. - Record all incoming couriers and ensuring recipients are advised of any incoming parcels - Record all outgoing courier activities using the online courier booking system (for metropolitan Sydney only). - Coordinate and provide advice/assistance for interstate and international deliveries. - Check and distribute newspapers daily to appropriate work areas - Housekeeping of our department’s section of online documentation portal (shared drive "Dochub"). - Provide cover for the Helpdesk Co-ordinator when required and record requests from staff using the Footprints helpdesk solution. - Set up events, conference and meeting rooms when required. - Minor functions and facilities requests such as light furniture movements and other ad-hoc requests - Daily driving services for SBS private mini-bus lunch run to Chatswood. **About you** - Be comfortable lifting and moving desks / furniture as managing mailroom courier accounts and assisting with basic AV troubleshooting in meeting rooms. - Great communication and stakeholder management skills and a passion for helping others with various tasks. - Demonstrated experience in customer service, professional and courteous. - Well-developed organisational skills, attention to detail, able to prioritise and meet deadlines. - Demonstrated ability to accurately record requests and follow up ensuring tasks are completed to satisfaction. - Competency in computer skills including experience in Outlook, Excel and Word. Experience with a helpdesk / service request system is desirable, and a general comfortability with / interest in computers and technology. - Passionate and interested in learning about new technology.
