**The role**
We are looking to hire a fabulous Safety and Training Advisor to be based at our Waratah site who will support Molycop’s continual drive towards Goal Zero and outstanding safety performance. The role reports to our Work Health and Safety Manager and is an integral member of our Molycop team.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Coaching and mentoring leaders to drive our safety culture and working within the requirements of our Safety Management System
- Conducting safety training to equip our people to work safely
- Developing training materials, tools and presentations to support employee skill development
- Undertaking workplace inspection/audits and supporting leaders to take appropriate action to understand, remove and manage risks
- Conducting incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions
- Maintaining and developing relevant WHS procedures
- Being a champion for health, safety and wellbeing

You have a strong safety focus, excellent communication skills and an engaging training style. You go above and beyond to deliver extraordinary results and experiences for our employees. You enjoy interacting with people and like to be and about in our manufacturing facilities to support our leaders and employees.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Strong experience supporting or leading safety in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- A solid understanding of safety systems, risk management and building a safety culture
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage competing demands.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve with a level-headed approach
We’d also love it if you had any or all of the following:
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment.
- ICAM Qualifications.
- Internal auditing experience (ISO45001 highly regarded)
- High Risk Work Licenses and certificates (i.e. Forklift, EWP, Overhead Cranes, Confined Space, Work at Heights)
- Lead Auditor qualifications
- Return to Work Certification
