**About the role**

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team at Superior Disability Care on the Sunshine Coast. This is a casual position that will involve providing individualised support to clients with various disabilities, ensuring they can thrive and live independently within the community.

**What you'll be doing**
- Provide individualised community-based support
- Assist with skill building both at home and in the community
- Foster independence and daily living skills among participants
- Deliver personal care services as required
- Contribute actively to a person-centred team environment
- Administer medications and fulfil other duties specified in participant support plans
- Maintain accurate participant records to ensure consistent and high-quality care
- Engage in open communication, participate in staff meetings, and contribute to planning and reviews
- Adapt to changing circumstances and prioritise tasks effectively
- Demonstrate a client-focused and person-centred approach

**What we're looking for**
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to promoting their independence and inclusion
- Relevant qualifications in disability support, community services, or a related field
- Experience in providing person-centred care and support to clients with diverse needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients and their families
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to prioritise and multitask
- A current open driver's license
- Access to reliable transportation with full comprehensive insurance
- A current First Aid certificate and National Police Check
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain)
- Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $35.00 - $43.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Shift work

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates
