About the role
The Facilities Maintenance Manager works closely with the National Facilities Maintenance Manager to deliver on Facilities Maintenance supplier contracted services with a focus on soft facilities services. This role will ensure vendors meet key performance indicators and will draft sourcing strategy and tender requirement documentation, negotiate, facilitate, administrate, implement, complete market analysis using quantitative skills to track market trends, and prepare all contract types (Contracts/Agreements/MOU/etc.) utilised by the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood.
This role will review and seek continuous improvements for the long-term facility maintenance processes and ensure adequate preventative maintenance procedures and services are in place to mitigate operational risk.

Demonstrated experience in a similar national contract management role.
Ability to negotiate with stakeholders externally and across all divisions to develop solutions and secure agreements required for facilities maintenance.
Ability to work under pressure and meet internal and external deadlines without compromising attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience in reviewing, gathering, collating, analysing and presenting data and detail reports.
Ability to manage complex contracts and contract scope.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated report writing experience.
Demonstrated computing experience using Microsoft Programs (including Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
Proven ability to work autonomously and with limited direction in a fast moving, fast changing environment.
An understanding of organisational change and the ability to communicate the impacts of program change to all stakeholders.
Ability to lead risk workshops and communicate impacts on existing and future facility maintenance services operations and processes.
This is a permanent full-time hybrid position, rotating between the office and home.
