These sites are home to extraordinary landscapes, innovative public programming, and world leading plant science and conservation research. RBGV is the custodian of the $340 million State Botanical Collection and has won ‘Best Major Tourist Attraction’ for the third time in a row, joining the Victorian Tourism Industry Council Hall of Fame._

As Chief Executive, you will partner with a highly engaged Board and Executive Team to lead, inspire and drive the RBGV’s mission, with primary responsibility for maintaining a progressive and positive reputation and ensuring its gardens continue to provide many benefits for the community.

To be considered for this position, you will be:

- A transformational executive leader, with a proven ability to drive outcomes in a multifaceted organisation, ideally within the public sector.
- Highly regarded for your ability to engage with and influence a broad range of stakeholders to advocate and enhance the reputation of an organisation, you will bring commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial mindset.
- A natural relationship builder, who can heighten awareness of the RBGV through the engagement of government & philanthropic stakeholders, First Nations Peoples, tourism operators, community organisations, scientific community, and the international botanic gardens network.

This position is located in Melbourne, Victoria and is offered for a period of up to five years.
