Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

An opportunity is now available for an Administration Officer to join the Cardiology Team in a Permanent Full time role located at Nepean Hospital.

This imperative role within Cardiac Services will see you carry out general reception, clerical duties, data entry and online Medicare billing using iPM/PBRC. Your day will consist of various duties with telephone and counter enquiries answered promptly and in a friendly manner following the Phone Etiquette guidelines.
This position will see you advise patients of necessary documentation for attendance i.e. photo identification, Medicare card, referral letters, test results (as applicable)

- Demonstrated experience in a clinic setting including reception duties, phone enquiries, appointment scheduling and data entry.
- Demonstrated effective customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new processes.
- Ability to be flexible and display initiative
