- s most critical projects.
We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Specialist to join our NSW team working on one of our large Infrastructure key projects, the Engineering Design Assurance (EDA) Technical Partner for Sydney Metro. You will be providing procurement advice to external clients and internally within the wider Mott MacDonald business.
The role will involve however not limited to:
- Providing advice to clients on procurement strategy, commercial model, contract selection, scheduling and resourcing of procurement activities and governance.
- Management of supply chain and administration of subcontracts (professional services agreements) to meet time, cost and quality objectives.
- Procurement innovation and cost benefit tracking.
- Ability to undertake assurance reviews of procurement and supply chain systems to meet commercial and contract requirements.
- Proficient in managing procurement processes, and the delivery of procurement activities, in the capacity of a specialist consultant to deliver value for clients.
- What is your typical day looks like?
- Developing procurement and contract strategies in line with industry best practice, providing optimal risk balance to meet business outcomes.
- Management and administration of the Contractor Performance Review process, by co-ordinating with the wider team to deliver complete performance reports directly to the supply chain.
- Action probity matters and maintain registers accurately.
This includes maintenance of registers and liaison with client representatives to close probity items.
- Prepare and issue Resourcing tenders.
- Create recommendation reports for project and client approvals.
- Evaluation of tenders and processing of contract departures, with support from the wider team.
- Maintenance and coordination of procurement registers.
What can you bring to the team?
- Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business.
- Industry related experience ie: Rail, Civil Infrastructure and Engineering consultancy
- Solid financial and risk management experience
- Experience in working in similar procurement and contract management roles on large and complex infrastructure projects
