Maxima has partnered with one of the local government and we have an exiting opportunity for an experienced Fleet and Depot Coordinator. It is a 3 months initial contract with immediate start. Reporting to the Operations and Fleet Services Manager, the position will also involve managing the high quality and cost effective delivery and maintenance of the City’s Fleet Services and managing the City’s stores and depot/operations sites in an efficient, safe and compliant manner.
- Extensive experience in facilitation, consultation and negotiation to achieve desired outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in team building and culture improvement.
- Coordination of a multidisciplinary professional team relevant to the role.
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing maintenance and operational programs.
- Extensive experience in the preparation of contract documentation, technical specifications and assessment of submissions.
- Cost estimation of materials and equipment.
- Procurement of goods and services.
- Extensive experience in effective human resource management practices.
- Formal qualification in mechanical trades, logistics, asset management or a related field.
- Current “C” class drivers licence.
- Fleet Management Certificate (Desirable).

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Provide direction, support and technical expert advice to the team.
- Ensure productivity and efficiency of work teams by establishing, reporting and monitoring of measurable performance outcomes.
- Undertake human resource management to ensure a productive and healthy workplace.
- Assist with the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Team Plans, Business Plans and Strategies.
- Develop annual budgets ensuring service level, quality standards and legislative requirements are met.
- Coordinate the timely review of the team’s key performance indicators, identify and address variances.
- Perform other duties as directed when appropriate to the scope and level of this position.
- Maintain safe work practices in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health legislation, Risk Management and relevant Council policies.
