**Position Overview**
The position is responsible for the day-to-day management, allocation and functioning of FCFCOA courtrooms and hearings, and provides logístical assistance for matters heard in circuit locations. The position reports directly to the Team Leader, National Court Support.
**Duties**
- Prepare for and manage all aspects of courtroom allocation in your dedicated regions, including preparation and publication of the daily list and, where required, distribution of video conferencing details;
- Oversight of in-court technology, including liaising with chambers staff, transcription service and other technology providers;
- Communicating and coordinating attendance of litigants with external agencies, including government agencies such as immigration detention centres, federal and state police, state corrective services and child welfare authorities;
- Provide training and support for in-court processes, including opening and closing court, swearing in witnesses, and videoconference process;
- Provide logístical assistance to judges and chambers staff in relation to matters heard in circuit locations;
- Corresponding with practitioners and legal support staff in relation to videoconference procedure, including related administrative process;
- Provide assistance and coordination with Court events, including seminars, webinars and ceremonial/formal occasions;
- Other administrative duties, for instance the allocation of courtrooms, virtual resources, mediation suites and visiting chambers, as required.
**Selection Criteria**
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with demonstrated attention to detail and a capacity to perform effectively under pressure in a high volume environment;
- Relationship management capacity, including an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels, including judicial officers, as well as strong interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to manage stressful and/or conflict situations in a professional manner, on a continual basis.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and as a member of an operational team;
- Initiative, adaptability and sound problem solving skills, including in relation to technology.
**Eligibility**
- Australian citizenship - the successful applicant must hold Australian citizenship;
- Security and character clearance - the successful applicant must satisfy a Police Records Check, and may also be required to complete security clearances during the course of their employment;
