Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (VARA) is the largest provider of Fly-In-Fly Out charter services in Western Australia and has considerable experience operating both Charter and Regular Public Transport (RPT) services to small and remote communities, allowing our guests to experience Virgin Australia’s award-winning product and services across the regional network.

**The Role**:
As a Maintenance Planner, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the Continuing Airworthiness and compliance to the Aircraft Maintenance Program that is managed by the Virgin Australia Regional Airline (VARA) Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO).

The position is based in Perth and you will report to the Manager, Operational Airworthiness.

As a Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for:

- Continued compliance to the maintenance program
- Forecasting, scheduling and pre-planning the due maintenance work orders
- Identify CAMO spares, tooling and external services to ensure availability
- Issue maintenance plans to maintenance providers within specified timeframes
- Review the forward operational flying schedule and ensure maintenance is planned within compliance timeframes
- Supporting heavy maintenance planning processes and coordinate defect rectification
- Ensuring sufficient operational down-time for the accomplishment of such maintenance
- Maximise maintenance task yield to reduce maintenance costs

**What you need to be successful**:

- A firm knowledge of maintenance systems, processes and concepts within the aviation sector
- Proven experience in Line or Heavy Maintenance Planning, Maintenance systems, Airworthiness requirements and familiar with RPT/Charter organisation
- IAS information system experience would be advantageous
- Engineering qualification highly beneficial but not essential
- Well organised person with significant attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ambition for service delivery and ability to promote our safety culture
