**About the role**:

Rankin Court Treatment Centre is one of nine clinical units of the Alcohol and Drug Service at St Vincent’s Hospital. Our progressive and innovative team offers plenty of room for growth and are dedicated to helping you shape your career in the way you desire with our clients and community at the centre.
**About you**:
You will be able to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients who are dealing with health-related issues primarily in the acute and sub-acute settings within the Drug and Alcohol service.
You will have the ability and experience in engaging with Aboriginal people and communities in a health care setting and experience in but not limited to Homelessness, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, and Domestic Violence.

**Selection Criteria**:
Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures as well as an understanding of the health and welfare needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.Demonstrated experience in working constructively with Aboriginal communities and personnel.Demonstrated ability to communicate with Aboriginal people on sensitive matters.Demonstrated understanding of clients with drug and alcohol issues along with an understanding of harm reduction principles, or a willingness to learn.Demonstrated written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills, along with adequate computer skills including Microsoft Office and Patient Record Systems.
