**About the role**Be part of a friendly and supportive team and help deliver high-quality patient centred careSupport Aboriginal patients, primarily in the acute and sub-acute settings at the hospitalAssist staff to provide culturally safe and respectful care to Aboriginal patients and familiesLiaise with key community organisations, particularly Aboriginal Community groups and servicesContribute to achieving the outcomes of the Aboriginal health plan & national reconciliation action plan

**About you**Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descentExperience in effectively engaging with Aboriginal people in a health care settingAble to undertake regular afternoon shiftsWillingness to work toward a certificate IV in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Practice)Have a qualification in Aboriginal Health/Education, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Welfare or equivalent. This is desirable rather than mandatory
