Volunteer Coordinator

**The Rev. Bill Crews Foundation is one of Sydney's largest frontline charities and has been operating for 35 years.**

Our mission is to provide assistance to address the cause and effect of homelessness and poverty, as well as unemployment, faced by marginalised individuals. We succeed in achieving this through a combination of caring services like food provision, social welfare and education support.

Our programs are only made possible through the dedication and active support of our extraordinary team of volunteers who are referred to as ‘Bill’s Crew’. These selfless individuals play an essential role in our foundation.

**Opportunity**

Due to an internal promotion, we are now seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team to be responsible for the rostering of Groups (schools, corporates and other organisations) at our Ashfield site and volunteers for our Mobile Services (food vans).

As part of a small team, this is an essential position and will see you promoting and creating awareness of our volunteer program and recruiting and rostering volunteers who want to make a difference in our community. You will also be the ‘go to’ person for schools and corporate representatives ensuring that their visits and time volunteering at our foundation is meaningful.

**What we need in this key position is**:

- Plenty of common sense with a pragmatic, professional and proactive ‘can do anything’ approach
- Lots of initiative is required and experience in project management would be fantastic
- Able to work in an agile and busy environment, as we can promise you that no two days are ever the same
- Great communication skills and ability to liaise with people from all walks of life is essential
- Experience in workforce planning/rostering would be ideal as your organisational skills will be constantly utilised
- You will have an exceptional eye for detail, think outside the square and be on the look out for process improvements
- Resilience, compassion and empathy underpin everything that we do at the foundation, and
- Proficiency in excel, data and reporting would be the icing on the cake

**Salary**: $75,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
