**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**
As the Records Officer, you will support the information and records management function of Coal LSL through effective stakeholder engagement and business partnerships to ensure ongoing compliance with legislative obligations.
You will:
- assist with the review, design and implementation of records management policies, procedures and systems
- ensure compliance and security processes are in accordance with legislative requirements
- embrace change and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by proactively reviewing and improving practices and controls
- build strong collaborative relationships and engage with stakeholders to provide advice and guidance
- partner with stakeholders to build awareness and understanding of records management and associated systems and tools, including technical support and training
- undertake the day-to-day coordination of Coal LSL’s EDRMS (SharePoint and Records 365).
**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**
To be successful in the Records Officer role, you will have a strong understanding of contemporary information management practices in a complex and/or regulatory environment.
Your background will demonstrate your:
- experience in a similar information/records management role
- knowledge of current legislation and corporate responsibilities related to information, data and records management
- ability to provide expert advice consistent with statutory obligations
- exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to provide advice and make sound judgements
- strong communication skills, including the ability to write reports and briefings
- well-developed planning, time management and organisational skills
- ability to evaluate organisational needs using effective strategic, conceptual and analytical skills
- experience developing solutions to complex problems that take into consideration the risks related to records management
- high levels of initiative and creativity to foster continuous improvement and find ways to enhance service delivery
- ability to effectively coordinate and lead information and records management projects.
