Purchasing Officer with Pronto knowledge - Based Belmont - Immediate Start
This mining equipment company is going from strength to strength.

Due to an internal promotion, they are looking to backfill a role for a Purchasing Officer (Pronto) to join their small, supportive team. About the Role Based in Belmont and reporting to the Supply Supervisor, the Purchasing Officer is accountable for purchasing, procuring and expediting parts, equipment, services and sundries in a timely manner, and ensuring stock control and storage to optimise mine operations.

In this role, your duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Oversee the receipt and delivery of stock including checking for accuracy
- Process requisitions to orders raised and create purchase order numbers in a timely and economic manner including checking all cost codes and order types, and amending orders of required
- Expedite outstanding purchase orders and ensure delivery dates are realistic and current
- Support other stores staff roles as required
- Compile weekly and monthly procurement reports as requested.

About You
- Prior experience in a similar purchasing role
- Proven high organisational skills
- Have the ability to challenge other workers to work in a safer manner
- Be a self-starter who is driven to succeed in their role
- Experience in Pronto is highly desirable.

Ideally we are looking for someone to start on a contract basis initially.
