**Position: Direct Care Experienced Support Worker (Disability Support Worker)**
**Location: Dandenong, VIC.**

**You MUST be available to work from 7 AM (Monday - Friday)**

Provide quality direct support to service users in line with their support needs, the programs they are accessing, and all support plans including the service users Individual Plan.

Increase the service users' skills through independence, personal growth, and development through the provision of active support and their enhanced participation as a valued member of their community. Implement development programs and identify and support learning opportunities for service users. Assist in the delivery of programs that facilitate service users’ development of social networks and inclusion in community activities. Client Relationship

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct support aligned with service users' needs and support plans.
- Foster skill development and independence for service users in the community.
- Implement programs and learning opportunities for skill enhancement.
- Facilitate social network development and community inclusion.

**Client Relationship**:

- Respect and uphold service users' rights within their home and community.
- Adapt communication to support individual expression.
- Build trust-based relationships with mutual respect and understanding.

**Impact**:

- Be self-aware and reflective to enhance support quality.
- Work within your capabilities and seek support for development.
- Contribute ideas and collaborate within the team for continuous improvement.
- Advocate for client-centered service within the disability sector.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Certificate II- IV in Disability or equivalent qualification preferred, though not essential.
- CPR First Aid Certificate (level 2) (required)
- and a Driver's License.
- Mobile phone with internet access
- Working with Children Check (required)
- NDIS Workers Screening Check Clearance **(required)**:

- NDIS Worker Orientation Modules **(required)**:

- Infection Control Training Cert
- **Have Working Rights and lives in Australia**:

- Experience supporting individuals with personal care.
- Ability to work independently and in 1:1 support shift.
- Commitment to supporting individual needs and personal goals of people with disabilities

**Benefits**:

- Pay rates ranging from $33.00 to $36.00 per hour, with penalty rates.
