**The Role**
Within the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Training Force (TF) is a key enabler, working with Future Navy Workforce and the Navy People Branch in ensuring that Navy has the required people capability. Our mission is to ‘Plan and deliver the right training, to the right people, in the right place, at the right time, to enable current and future Navy capability’.
This role will lead the Technical Training Support Unit (TTSU), which supports Training Force in achieving its mission to deliver world class training through the development and delivery of high quality technology based training resources. TTSU works with Training Authorities to create custom video and other media format solutions optimised for training requirements; and includes development of products and promotional tools/material to support the Training Force Communications and Transformation programs.
You will be responsible for managing the scope of work and quality deliverables of the team, including stakeholder engagement and coordination activities. This is also a management role requiring leadership, mentoring, performance management and development of the team, and may include management of outsourced service providers.
**About our Team**
Reporting into the Director of Navy Training Operations, you will manage the TTSU team (currently 8 staff) within the Training Force located in Sydney.
Your stakeholders include our geographically dispersed Training Authorities, as well as broader Navy & Australian Defence Force personnel.
Experience in the creation of multimedia Products/solutions to meet organisational requirements.
Ideally you will have experience or the ability to lead and coordinate a multifaceted skilled workforce/team to produce quality outcomes within time and budget allocation.
You will be representing the TTSU and will need to consult with stakeholders, understand requirements and provide clear guidance on the possibilities and potential of emerging multimedia solutions, preferably within the training environment.
A background working within Public Relations, Film Production, and Graphic Design - preferably within a learning & development context is highly desirable.
