**The Role**

This includes, but not limited to the following:

- Perform role of Branch Unit Security Officer, including facilitating and coordinating various security aspects associated with postings, international visits meeting and events.
- Develop and maintain Branch security procedural documentation, ensuring that security certification, accreditation and security requirements are met and IAW policy.
- Perform the duties of Objective Workgroup Coordinator for Branch and ensuring information and records management IAW policy.
- Manage financial support, contribute to budget preparation and financial performance monitoring and reporting in accordance with Defence objectives.
- Ensure correct financial management of financial reporting and management through analysis of ROMAN and CMS financial data. Investigate discrepancies identified in ROMAN and take appropriate actions.
- Maintain Branch asset register and records of ICT asset loans/returns.
- Undertake periodic quality assurance of Branch CMS transactions and spend to ensure accurate attribution of costs and coding, approvals and record keeping compliance.
- Keep all phasings and expenditure up to date in the commitment register.
- Ensuring purchases and expenditure are conducted IAW extant policy.
- Assist with other Branch business coordination functions as directed.

**About our Team**
Surface Combatant & Aviation (SCA) Branch and is located at Russell Offices. The SCA Branch is responsible to Head of Navy Capability (HNC) and strategically manages Navy’s SCA Programs in order for Chief of Navy to meet his operational, preparedness, seaworthiness and force generation responsibilities and priorities. It is led by the Director General Surface Combatants and Aviation (DGSCA). The Branch comprises five directorates and has a diverse workforce of Navy personnel, APS and contractors.
- Knowledge and understanding (or ability to quickly acquire) of the Defence Security Principles Framework to facilitate a range of security related requests such as international visits and develop procedural security documentation.
