**Your new company**

A State Government Department is looking for a Communications Coordinator to join their team. This role requires you to work full time hours, on an initial temporary basis.

**Your new role**

As an experienced a Communications Coordinator your daily duties will include but won’t be limited to:

- Design and implement media strategies and communication programs
- Manage and respond to media queries and organise media events
- Provide strategic communication advice and support to the Chief Executive and staff to develop communications to internal stakeholders.
- Acts as the representative on internal and external committees as needed
- Act as the liaison for communication issues with project consultants, government representatives, partner agencies and other stakeholders.
- Oversees the production of communication materials
- Support management of the brand / logo including developing template materials and monitoring the use of branding across the service.
- Provide communication support for internal and external events
- Develop marketing resources and liaise with external marketing and advertising agencies as required
- Provides out-of-hours on-call service for media enquiries

- Experience designing, implementing and evaluating communications programs and media strategies
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Analytical research skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate good organisation skills
- Strong project management skills
