
Business Support Officer

» Build and maintain cohesive and functional relationships across Planning and Development Services to deliver the shared objectives of the division and promote a 'One Network' environment and working culture.
- The role reports to the Regional Director and supports the Office of the Executive Director, coordinating and providing corporate administrative support to the division.
- Assisting in the coordination of briefs, discussion papers, and general correspondence items.
- Prepare human resources requests, coordinate establishment management and forward resource planning, and provide advice to the leadership team on general human resources matters.
- Coordinate financial management of the region, including invoice processing and budget control, as per departmental standards. Assist in the preparation of procurement documents and procurement advice.
- Assist with travel arrangements, event management and other activities, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Provide additional administrative support to the Regional Directors, Executive Director and Managers as required.
- Proactively draft and manage internal business requests for approval, ensuring appropriate delegations, required documentation and departmental processes are followed.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of regular ad hoc human resources, payroll, and finance reports to senior staff.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with the Office of the State Planner, providing consistent services and processes which support the division and Planning Group more broadly.
