**About the Role**
As the Compliance Officer, you will provide comprehensive, high quality and proactive advice and support on appropriate compliance frameworks and matters for the whole University. As an influential member of the central compliance function, you’ll have exposure to a broad and diverse range of compliance obligations, with a proactive understanding of different legislation.

Engaging with key stakeholders and establishing productive and collaborative relationships will enable you to inform and monitor compliance and non-compliance and embed a University-wide compliance culture. With no direct reports, you will have the autonomy and capacity to lead and support projects to implement new compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities include:

- Implement and recommend enhancements to the University Compliance Management Framework to ensure continued best practice that it is aligned to relevant ISO standards
- Engage networks of compliance stakeholders to identify ‘compliance champions’ to promote awareness of the University’s Compliance Management Framework
- Conduct regular environmental scanning to identify changes to the University’s compliance obligations using various sources

**About You**
With your extensive background in compliance, you will have strong attention to detail with the ability to look at the big picture and identify synergies across a broad remit. You will be highly analytical, with advanced interpersonal skills and a natural flair for adapting your communication style to suit your diverse range of stakeholders. Your ability to manage multiple projects while working to tight deadlines will set you up for success in this role.

You will also have:

- A relevant tertiary degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
- Significant experience and knowledge of risk, compliance and regulatory frameworks and proven experience using GRC software
- Highly effective interpersonal skills with significant experience in developing and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships through effective communication and collaboration within a large and complex organisation
