We have an exciting opportunity to join our fires services team as a Portables and Emergency Light Fire Service Technician.

Join our small team and help us deliver excellent services to our clients as an experienced Fire Service Technician. Your main service areas will be the Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

We are looking for a motivated self-starter, who can work alone and will take responsibility for prioritising their workload to meet goals and deadlines. You must be interested in a long-term position. For the right person, there are a great deal of opportunities for you to increase your level of responsibility and compensation.

Your role:

- Servicing fire equipment on our customer's premises, recommending, quoting, and selling fire protection equipment and services to comply with specific Australian Standards and Building Codes.
- Routine testing of fire extinguishers, fire hose reels, fire doors and exit & emergency lighting.
- Identifying, repairing & installing fire protection equipment to specific Australian Standards.
- Completing and providing evidence of maintenance performed on equipment using Uptick and specific industry documentation.
- Organising and arranging job schedule for efficient travel and suitable times for clients.
- Liaising with clients.
- Organising cost effective materials and equipment for jobs with efficient delivery and pick-ups.
- Organising, supervising, and assisting other trades with installation, testing and rectification works.

Licencing requirements:
**Option 1**

Electrical contractor licence and will obtain QBCC licence to service portable fire equipment.

**Option 2**

Holds the QBCC licences:

- QBCC Fire Protection - Electrical Stream - Inspect and Test - Emergency Lighting and;
- QBCC Fire Protection - Portables Stream - Install and Maintain.

Skills and experience:

- Must have a minimum of 2 years fire industry experience.
- Must be honest and be able to work unsupervised.
- Able to provide exceptional service delivery for high profile clients/contracts.
- Able to organise and prioritise workload and meet deadlines and targets.
- Comply to required company policies, procedures, processes, and applicable Australian Industry Standards.

We are a small-sized fire maintenance services organisation that is growing rapidly. We provide fire services in South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $44.00 - $68.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Licence/Certification:

- QBCC Licence (preferred)
- Electrical Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
