**Salary**:Grade 9 $74,433.71-$85,598.77 per annum + 12% superannuation + up to $14,000 in tuition contributions.

Are you currently undertaking your 4th/5th final year studies in a Bachelor of Planning qualification at an Australian university and interested in gaining paid work experience to complement your area of study? If yes, then Randwick City Council is currently offering a Student Cadet Planner position as part of the NSW Government's Strong Start Cadetship Program. As the role is part of the Cadetship Program, there is the ability to access up to **$14,000 (this is the remainder)**to cover tuition fees incurred while working in the role.

**Things you will do**:

- Assist with the preparation of planning instruments, policies and guidelines.
- Undertake community consultation and engagement.
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate reports on planning issues.
- Assist with events that promote design excellence
- Assist with the preparation, review and amendment of LEPs and DCPs.
- Undertake research on strategic planning, environmental and urban development issues.
- Respond to correspondence, enquiries and complaints.
- Provide the highest level of service to both internal and external customers
- Act as duty officer as may be required
- Provide support for managing property data, property information and planning certificates as required
