- We are currently searching for a dynamic
- **Head of Arts and Culture **to lead the implementation of our Arts and Culture Strategy. In this key role within our organisation, you will have the opportunity to shape and nurture the distinct cultural landscape of Randwick City.
- As Head Arts and Culture, you will be responsible for building on a strong existing cultural network and infrastructure to develop new opportunities and initiatives to support the growth and prosperity of our creative industries. Guided by the Arts and Culture Strategy, you will coordinate and deliver captivating cultural events, develop strategic partnerships, and create new opportunities for the creative sectors in order to cultivate a vibrant cultural landscape that will attract visitors to, and shape the identity of our Local Government Area (LGA).
- We are seeking a motivated individual with a proven track record in arts and culture management, who can bring innovative and creative ideas and a strategic vision to this role.

**Things you will do**:
- Promote our Cultural Vision and lead and deliver initiatives outlined in the Arts & Culture Strategy
- Respond to emerging needs, trends and opportunities
- Manage and develop Council’s various cultural venues and facilitate their creative and community use of them
- Prioritise First Nations engagement as a planning and delivery focus
- Work with the team to coordinate an exciting framework of arts and culture activities across Council, including the oversight of the Public Art Plan
- Revitalise and innovate existing cultural programs, and develop new arts initiatives to engage new audiences
- Integrate arts and culture with the economy via business partnerships and placemaking activities and
- Foster innovation in Council’s arts and culture programming through external and internal partnerships
**We will trust you to bring**:
- Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in arts management, arts curatorship, cultural directorships, cultural policy or a related field.
- Proven experience in creative programming, policy development, and experience in cultural facilities management.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable outcomes.
- A track record of engaging collaborations and programs with the creative sector and networks.
