**Salary**: $104,949 - $120,692 per annum + 11.5% superannuation
Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Community Development team is seeking a Social Planner.
**Purpose**:
The Social Planner is responsible for engaging the community on the development of strategic documents that assist Council to meet community objectives. The role provides advice about local cultural, economic, environmental and social standards based on data, public policy and behavioural trends that influence Council's broader planning, investment and decision-making processes.
**About the role**:
- Facilitate the development, monitoring and review of Council's social plans and strategies
**About you**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Urban Planning or related discipline
- Demonstrate experience preparing evidence-based studies and needs assessments and experience developing strategy, plans and procedural documents that address these issues
- Comprehensive understanding of the issues faced by communities experiencing vulnerability or hardship, the policy landscape and service challenges
