Head of Strategy

**How will I help?**

We are looking for a dynamic and visionary Head of Strategy & Value Proposition to develop the Cash & Transactional Banking strategy and customer value propositions. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our consumer, business, and merchant customer and product strategy.

You will lead the development of the C&TB strategy for consumer, business, and merchant customers, creating compelling value propositions and defining the customer end-to-end target state experience. This includes working with other LOBs to develop a whole of customer experience, deepen relationships, and lead the creation and maintenance of Village execution plans.

To enable the successful execution of our strategy, you will be responsible to coordinate and lead key activities across the LOB, including:

- Managing the investment planning process across the LOB, including initiative prioritization and interdependency management. You will also lead portfolio governance and oversee change delivery risks.
- Providing customer-level data and insights to other villages within the LOB to drive strategic outcomes, customer outcomes, and delivery portfolio performance.
- Managing our third-party supplier relationships, including negotiations with vendors and ensure our supplier risk is appropriately managed.
- You will define the single view of change across initiatives and ensure it is communicated effectively across the Group.
- You will lead the Westpac Ways of Working and agile culture across the LOB and develop compliant business outcomes within regulatory requirements, risk appetite, and Enterprise policy.
- From time to time, you will also be involved in strategic growth opportunities for our business which may include exploring M&A opportunities.

**What do I need?**

To be successful in this role, you will have significant demonstrated experience in a similar role with proven experience in strategic leadership roles, ideally gained from the banking industry.

You will be a natural communicator with exceptional relationship management and collaboration skills, enabling you to effectively influence and partner with senior stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes.

You will have phenomenal data analysis and insight generation skills, with the capability to deliver clear, actionable recommendations that enhance business performance and growth

You will have a results-driven mindset, and brilliant problem-solving and team leadership abilities
