About the RoleIn addition, it provides professional leadership within Gastroenterology including Interventional Endoscopy, and provide training, education and supervision to junior medical staff and other health care members and contribute to existing or develop own initiatives that aim to improve quality, efficiency or outcomes of services by appropriate quality improvement measures that include research.

**Services provided include**:

- Expertise in providing inpatient and outpatient care to Colorectal Surgery.
- Preference for expertise in Colorectal Surgery.
- An ability to build rapport and demonstrates empathy for patients and carers, supporting consumers to partner in their care.
- Honesty, integrity and respect for all patients, carers and staff.
- An ability to liaise and collaborate with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective team functioning, positive patient outcomes and the achievement of departmental objectives.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills effectively manages stress and high-pressure situations and demonstrates a professional attitude.
- A commitment to actively participate in clinical audits, clinical meetings, and clinical incident management including participation in the Incident Monitoring System and Root Cause Analyses where appropriate
