Staff Specialist – Emergency Medicine

About the Role

As a Staff Specialist in Emergency Medicine, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality care across a busy, diverse department. You'll contribute to teaching, training, and supervision of medical staff, be actively involved in service development, and participate in patient safety and quality initiatives.

This department provides a stimulating case mix, with:

  • 50,000 presentations annually
  • 25% paediatric presentations
  • Significant trauma exposure
  • Regional referral centre responsibilities, including aeromedical retrievals and telehealth support for rural hospitals
  • Access to a 15-bed Short Stay Unit, Cardiac Cath Lab, and modern imaging services

The service is a modern 190-bed regional referral hospital offering trauma, most major medical and surgical specialties, and strong support services. Facilities include:
