In the role of Manager (Rail and Public Transport Technical Advice Team) you will:

- provide transport and statutory planning advice to deliver best practice integrated transport outcomes in relation to processes under the Planning Act.
- Promote, manage and implement best practice transport planning principles.

**Accountabilities include**:

- Provide of technical input into the preparation of policies, codes and technical guidelines relating to the department's transport interests in development assessment and other processes under the Planning Act.
- Undertake research and analysis and provide recommendations to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in transport planning projects and investigations as required.
- Consult and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Prepare formal correspondence, advice, reports and briefing notes.
- Actively participate in performance conversations to build and support a culture of performance improvement.

This role reports to the Director (Development Facilitation) and has 5 direct reports.
