**About the role**

**This role can be based in Melbourne, Sydney, or Perth.**

The Privacy Manager is responsible for managing the Navitas Privacy Program and privacy maturity journey for multiple colleges in the University Partnerships Australasia (UPA) and Careers and Industry (C&I) divisions.

Reporting directly to the Head of IT UPA, you will be working closely with the Global Head of Data Privacy, who is based in the UK and accountable for privacy across Navitas, on day-to-day privacy matters.

**Essential**:

- Subject matter expertise in the Australian Privacy Act 1988
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to build consensus in a large and complex environment

**Desirable**:

- Experience of complex change management initiatives across a geographically distributed organisation
- Experience of large projects in response to risk / regulatory compliance challenges
- Knowledge of other global privacy laws, such as the EU/UK GDPR or China’s PIPL
- Experience in developing and delivering privacy training
- Experience in writing privacy policy and procedures
- Experience in working for an educational organisation
- Experience in CCTV and privacy
