About the role
We have an opportunity for a Privacy Manager to lead the privacy function of the NSW Police Force.
The primary purpose of the role is to manage the NSW Police Force privacy practice and function, including:
* The Mandatory Notification of Data Breach Scheme;
* Internal Reviews, Amendment Applications and Access Requests;
* Privacy Impact Assessments;
* Internal stakeholder engagement providing privacy advice, guidance and increasing awareness to drive a privacy by design culture;
* Engagement with the public in relation to privacy issues;
* Engagement with the NSW Information and Privacy Commission as required;
* Develop stakeholder relations with partner agencies.
As a legally qualified professional and/or privacy expert, you will have experience as a subject matter expert working
closely with privacy legislation and compliance, preferably in the NSW or Commonwealth public sector. You will be a
strong communicator with the ability to influence key stakeholders, both internal and external and be confident with data,
reporting, or analytics. Presentation skills and leadership will be highly regarded.
Note: It is planned that the role will include two direct reports (Clerk 7/8 Privacy Officers) in the foreseeable future to support the above deliverables.
