**Commissioner, NSW Independent Casino Commission**

Contribute to the effective regulation of the casino industry by providing expert advice and participating in decision-making on regulatory matters involving casinos in NSW.

High profile independent advisory position, based in Sydney CBD:

- Commissioner Fixed term appointment up to 4 years - part time (equivalent to 0.6 Full Time Employee)
- Total Remunation Package - $247,225 - $271,328 paid a proportion of it at 0.6FTE

**About the Commission**

The NSW Independent Casino Commission is an independent statutory body, constituted under the _Casino Control Act 1992 _(Act). The Commission is responsible for the supervision and regulation of the NSW casino industry, upholding the highest standards of integrity, overseeing reform of the sector and monitoring and enforcing compliance with regulations.

**About the role**

The Commissioner works collaboratively with the Chief Commissioner and other Commissioners through active participation in meetings of the Commission.

**About you**

To be successful in the role, you will have strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance, including knowledge, skills and experience in one or more of the following:

- legal and/or regulatory
- corporate governance
- government and/or commercial
- stakeholder engagement
- public health and social services
- highly regulated industries
- research and data.

You will have extensive experience in facilitating sensitive deliberations that involve stakeholder groups with strong and opposing views in a complex and highly contested environment. Your experience in balancing competing interests and demands will be crucial to your success in this role.
