Our client operating in the Wahroonga area is looking for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing business partner with strong influencing and time management skills to develop, implement and coordinate safety practices across the business, working with employees and contractors.
The Business Partner works collaboratively across the organisation to implement OHS and wellbeing initiatives. You will build relationships quickly, hit the ground running with a mindset to make things happen in a timely manner.
Being able to demonstrate exceptional communication skills you will work with the operations team and other stakeholders to consult, advise and guide managers and staff on a broad range of health and safety matters, including risk assessments, investigations, audits and influencing to achieve a proactive safety culture.
You will share the responsibility for providing safe work environments and practices within the business areas, proactively identify any unsafe or unhealthy conditions or behaviours and take immediate and appropriate steps to investigate and rectify any risks to health safety & well-being arising from any activity or service conducted.
- Qualifications in health and safety, and/or in a relevant discipline
- Demonstrated experience working in health and safety
- Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, standards and best practice
- Experience in conducting health and safety assessments, and investigations
- Demonstrated knowledge of emergency management
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written, with the ability to deal with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Well-developed time management, analytical, conceptual, and problem solving skills that support successful outcomes
