
Unit Supervisor

**What you will doAs our Unit Supervisor, you will**: - Develop processes and procedures so staff can do routine work appropriately, consistently, transparently and efficiently
- Assess, investigate and make recommendations regarding systems and processes relevant to the team
- Assist in the development, monitoring and review of relevant workflows, work instructions, and procedures
- Monitor, assess and report to the Operations Coordinator on the performance, activities and distribution of workload across the team
- Provide guidance, training, support, operational and procedural advice to team members in order to build a broad knowledge base of functions across the team
- Quality assure the work of other staff. This includes ensuring that data entered is correct and functional for the system and supporting staff to ensure accuracy and accountability standards are maintained
- Draft routine to moderately complex reports, business documents and correspondence
- Exercise discretion when either escalating major issues to management for a decision (ideally with an accompanying recommendation) or when making a decision with parameters established by your manager and your authorisations and when simply flagging such issues to management
- Identify, liaise and maintain strong working relationships with relevant internal stakeholders
- Collect and maintain data and client records in accordance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and procedural requirements, including the maintenance of reports to ensure alignment with strategic and operational requirements
- Team leader responsibilities are required. This includes supervising staff, allocating workloads, undertaking staff performance and development, team planning and reviews
What you will bringEssential requirementso While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, practical experience or qualifications in a related field will be favourably regarded.o Knowledge of ArcGIS or other GIS software is highly desirable.o Knowledge of Customer Service, Job Creation and Reconciliation operations is highly desirable.o An understanding of biosecurity response activities and the Queensland Disaster
