**The Role**
The Air Warfare Systems Program Office (AWSPO) is seeking a passionate, motivated and solution focused Business Operations Team Lead to join the team.

This position will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement, and will need to liaise and influence with stakeholders of all levels in relation to operations matters. They will be required to build good working relationships and identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.

**About our Team**
Located at the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Williamtown, the Air Warfare Systems Program Office (AWSPO) leads and manages a program portfolio of highly complex projects and products in support of Air Combat capability within Aerospace Systems Division. AWSPO, in partnership with industry, deliver Lead-in-Fighter, Advanced Training and Test Environment and Combat Control Capabilities in support of Air Combat Group and Air Warfare Centre achieving their mission.

The Business Management Unit (BMU) is responsible for providing commercial, quality, program management, workforce planning, security, information management, operations and facilities support. The BMU is the ‘glue that binds’, providing coordination and Governance services to the delivery units.

The AWSPO Operations Team, lead by the Business Operations Team Lead reports directly to the Deputy Director Corporate Performance and leads a small team that supports the AWSPO Executive and wider SPO with business and administrative functions.
- performing complex procedural, operational, administrative and business support activities, and leading and influencing a team by managing workflow and resources relating to tasks such as:

- allocation and tracking of incoming and outgoing tasks, submissions and other stakeholder requests,
- providing business operations support and functions to the SPO,
- SPO calendar management and forward planning for key events,
- Operational support for SPO wide Meetings, and business functions,
- Leading arrangements for formal SPO Visit activities,
- Inwards and Outwards Clearances, and
- SPO Purchasing, including administering of funds, travel approvals and guidance, software licence transfers and stationary requests.
- Be accountable to research, develop and implement procedural, operational, administrative and business support documentation consistent with AWSPO business requirements.
- Work collaboratively, engage and negotiate on complex issues, build and sustain effective relationships.
