**The importance of this role**
You are an experienced and motivated Child and Family Case Manager who will be responsible for working alongside families to increase safety and well-being of children in their care. This will include a variety of key accountabilities including but not limited to, conducting risk and needs assessments, provision of information, advice and referrals to universal and other community supports.
You thrive on building rapport quickly, and effectively engaging families in a positive and friendly manner, including the use of assertive outreach strategies to engage families and sustain their engagement during the intervention period.
You will play a lead role in the development, co-ordination, ongoing review and evaluation of a single case plan. You will perform this effectively through collaboration with the family, key community members and other service providers, ensuring it is based on assessment information, is strengths based, client focused, holistic and trauma informed.
Remuneration for this role is $46.72 - $48.83 per hour commensurate with experience.

With an empathetic nature you are compassionate toward vulnerable individuals. You are approachable, and a good problem solver who can think quickly on your feet to make sound decisions.
With effective communication skills, you are capable of liaising comfortably with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
To be suitable for this position, your experience and qualifications for the role will consist of:
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or a related discipline;
- Understanding of child development and trauma theory to inform assessment and decision making;
- Demonstrated experience in working with children and families exhibiting complex and multiple support needs;
- Minimum Provisional 2 license (Green P);
- Possess or has the ability to acquire a National Police Check and Blue Card (working with children).
