Investigator & Compliance Officer | VPS 4 | Independent Administrative Office | 4 month temporary contract

**Your new company**
Hays Legal are partnered with an independent Government Agency seeking an Investigator/ Compliance Officer to join their collegiate team. You will join a team that offer flexible working opportunities and a fantastic team environment.

**Your new role**
You will participate in the key functions of the agency, including assessment of complaints, conducting initial action enquiries and subsequent investigations, as well as supporting broader reviews of systemic issues in the government sector. You will also:

- Review complaints and assess a required response
- Work alongside senior managers to follow correct procedures and appropriate responses
- Conduct investigations & enquiries
- Effectively communicate with other Government agencies ensuring secure and timely release of information
- Prepare written reports
- and more as required.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this position you must have:

- A tertiary qualification in Law or Investigations
- Strong experience within investigations with demonstrated examination skills
- Compliance experience
- Accurate and high level written and oral communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Government experience is preferred
- Experience within a legal practice (desirable)
