**About the Business Unit**:
- Corrections Victoria is a business unit of the Department of Justice and Community Safety and is responsible for the management of prisons and community correctional services in Victoria.
- The Melbourne Assessment Prison (MAP) is a maximum-security facility providing state-wide assessment and orientation services for all male prisoners received into the prison system and is located within the Northwest Metropolitan Area, Department of Justice and Community Safety. MAP consists of the prison, the custody facilities at the County, Supreme and Appeal Courts and holding cells at St Vincent's Hospital for prisoners requiring outpatient medical treatment.
**About the Role**:
- Support the delivery of the CV Reintegration Program at the prison location.
- Coordinate and facilitate the delivery of sessions and services, both individually and in conjunction with service delivery providers, including co-facilitation with stakeholders and partners.
- Liaise and consult with contracted providers delivering pre
- and post-release services, and refer individual prisoners to CV Reintegration Pathway, according to eligibility requirements.
- Ensure the immediate transitional needs of unexpected discharges are supported through appropriate coordination and referrals to services. This will include supporting unexpected discharges that occur after 5.00pm and as such, may require a later work start time that allows for a finish time between 6.00pm-7.00pm.
- Liaise Community Correctional Services and Adult Parole Board to facilitate the provision of information relevant to Parole Suitability Assessments.
**This role has direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Determination.**
**About You**:
- To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Understanding of transition and reintegration issues and needs of pri soners.
- Ability to administer risk assessment tools with individual prisoners.
- Capacity or aptitude to work with clients who are difficult to engage individually and in group work settings.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a prison setting.
- A tertiary qualification in an appropriate discipline is desirable.
- Skills and experience in human services, welfare practice, education or related fields is also desirable.
