What you'll be doing
We are looking for an Assistant Planner to join our head office team in North Ryde on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Senior Merchandise Planner, you will partner with cross-functional teams to optimise our commercial plans so that we achieve consistent profitability and growth across our homewares range. Your commercial acumen and analytical skills will ensure you deliver on the following:
- Partnering with our Buyers to ensure we select the right product mix based on historical sales trends and past results.
- Completing and compiling performance analysis on a weekly basis for management to review.
- Demand forecasting, scenario modelling and rolling sales plans at SKU and aggregate level.
- Ensuring commercial plans and initiatives are aligned with forward sales plans.
- Developing action plans for slow moving and exit lines, working with supply planning to optimise replenishment and ordering.
- Maximising store performance by strategically managing markdowns, store gradings, sales budgets, stock levels and formal range reviews.
Who you are
With a couple of years' experience already under your belt, you are a strong communicator, able to distill insights and identify opportunities from large sets of data within Excel. Exceeding your financial targets and budgets is second nature to you, and you enjoy the challenge of building relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver on your role.
