**About the role**:
This is an exciting leadership opportunity with both national and local community impact. The work of your team and your community partners will deliver outcomes that connect environment protection with traditional owner cultural values and aspirations. You will build partnerships with Traditional Owner groups and key stakeholders. You will oversee the delivery and updating of EPA’s Aboriginal Inclusion Action Plan and strengthen the EPA’s capacity as a culturally safe and inclusive organisation.

**In this role you will**:

- Manage the Aboriginal Strategy and Partnerships Unit to achieve high standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, ethics, and integrity.
- Lead the Aboriginal Strategy and Partnerships Unit in building, maintaining, and leveraging strategic relationships and partnerships - across EPA, broader government and with communities.
- Build cultural safety and foster culturally appropriate regulatory approaches across the organisation.

**Skills and experience**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Victorian Aboriginal cultures and societies including Traditional Owner groups.
- Experience leading a small team including managing people, planning, performance and finances
- Demonstrated ability to deliver organisational outcomes through partnerships.
- Ability to think outside the square, a willingness to try new things and a genuine desire to learn, share knowledge and make a difference.
