Leadership Opportunity: Aboriginal Strategy and Partnerships

The role presents a unique chance to drive national and local community impact through building partnerships with Traditional Owner groups and key stakeholders.

As a leader, you will oversee the delivery and updating of our Aboriginal Inclusion Action Plan, ensuring high standards of performance, accountability, collaboration, ethics, and integrity within the unit.

Key responsibilities include managing the unit's strategy, building and maintaining strategic relationships, and fostering cultural safety across the organisation.

  • Lead the development and implementation of the Aboriginal Strategy and Partnerships Unit's objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Traditional Owner groups and key stakeholders to advance organisational goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote cultural safety and foster culturally appropriate regulatory approaches.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Victorian Aboriginal cultures and societies, including Traditional Owner groups.
  • Proven experience in leading a small team, including managing people, planning, performance, and finances.
  • Able to deliver organisational outcomes through partnerships and collaborations.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
