**Description**:
We are looking for a social fit for supports provided to participants with a disability to assist in the local community and in their own home.
The role of Disability Support Worker within the Community Living business unit will assist participants to engage in social and community hobbies and interests and make a positive difference to their lives.
A day may be spent at the beach, going to the movies, football or the local club or it may be spent gaming within a home environment.
**Skills and Experiences**:
The person will need to be flexible in their availability as weekend work may be required as well as afternoon and evening shifts.
Car and License with own vehicle and have comprehensive insurance
Ability to undertake personal care if needed
3 x COVID vaccinations
Energy and the ability to think on their feet and create a fun environment
Strong communication skills
Experience working with challenging behaviours and disability sector
Ability to follow direction and work autonomously and provide active supports
Ability to follow a Behaviour Support Plan
Current First Aid Certificate
WWCC and NDIS WC ( or willing to apply)
