We have an exciting new role available to join our Opal Specialty Packaging business as an Account Manager.

This role is a customer facing role managing a portfolio of existing Point of Sale customer accounts as well as focusing on new business development in Auckland. This is a hybrid role with a 70/30 split between account management and new business development.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- Developing and managing strategic individual accounts, building a strong rapport with a variety of different stakeholders within the customer
- Prospecting and winning new customer business
- Understanding critical customer needs and developing and implementing individual client value propositions (e.g. pricing, flexibility, service, uniqueness of product)
- Working cross-functionally within the business and co-ordinating technical support, value engineering, quotes and samples to ensure customers’ expectations are managed

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
- Sales and/ or marketing and supply chain experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
- Previous experience in the NZ and/or Global fibre packaging or distribution industries is desirable
- Experience in POS / POP Sectors would be advantageous
- Well-developed sales hunter experience with a good track record of bringing in new business opportunities
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- A proven track record of delivering results and ensuring key objectives are met
- A collaborative approach which will foster strong working relationships across internal teams to deliver the best result for the customer
