**The Position**:
We are currently seeking a General Handyperson to join our team on a permanent part-time basis, 6 days per fortnight. The position is based at our Wellington Views aged care home in Old Beach, Tasmania.
Supported by our grounds person you will assist with the general repair, maintenance in the facility. This is a hands-on position, requiring the individual to manage their own work load with a can-do approach and a knack for thinking creatively.
**The role duties include**:

- General repairs and maintenance including but not limited to; painting, cleaning, replacing light globes, etc
- Assisting with our preventative maintenance throughout the facility including resident rooms and public areas
- Maintaining hygiene and occupational health and safety requirements by ensuring that work is carried out safely and securing all areas of work at all times

- Self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic with excellent time management skills
- Able to work both unsupervised and within a team environment

- Be well presented, punctual and efficient

**_Previous handyman and Trades Qualification will be highly regarded but not essential_**
